7 Great Spots In Singapore To Study And Work At

When you think of studying or doing work out of home, the usual Starbucks and Coffee Bean outlets around the island immediately come to mind. And while that is perfectly fine, there are occasions when these coffee chains are a little too overcrowded for us to get any work done.
Instead, we find ourselves getting distracted thanks to the crowd and the noise. Or even worse – having to wander around malls just trying to look for a more comfortable and conducive spot, hence wasting half the day away.
If you can resonate with these scenarios, then these 7 Great Spots In Singapore To Study And Work At should be able to give you a couple of ideas on where you should settle down for your next session. And yes, all these locations have reliable Wifi connection as well; thank us later!

Charging your laptop is easy; just look out for the two large tables near the entrance of the library with sockets. But otherwise, feel free to pick a spot amongst the comfortable leather recliners to get some work done.

#3 THE NATIONAL LIBRARY BUILDING AT BUGIS
Libraries are more often than not the most productive place to work and study at. The National Library Building (next to Bugis Junction) is huge and is a quiet place for you to get work done. The actual Lee Kong Chian Reference Library takes up levels 7 to 13, and you can go to the top floor, find a seat amongst the chairs and tables provided, and get started on work.
There are plugs located around the level as well, and you can get connected to Wireless@SG while you are in the building.

Wifi is slightly less accessible here, and while you probably have to know or make friends with an SMU student for the password, the place is still ideal if you are just planning to get some simple revision done.

Yet another serene environment to study in. The library@esplanade might just be one of the more underrated, unpopular study spots in Singapore. The library is actually one of our favourite spots, for it has numerous seats, leather sofas, and a world of books to pick from.
There is also a café within the library itself called Books & Cranny, which offers wifi connection, and snacks and drinks for an energy boost. Socket availability also goes without saying; there are lots available throughout the library.
