Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Noodle Rice at Beauty World Food Centre dishes out stellar renditions of soya sauce chicken and it needs no Michelin star to be worthy of a loyal fan base.

Run by a mother and daughter pair, this stall is hugely popular amongst the crowd, as attested by the lines that form even before they pull up their shutters.

We ordered the Soya Sauce Chicken Noodle (S$3.30) along with a Dumpling (S$1.20). It was easy to understand why the stall was well-liked by many—the chicken was tender and extremely well-seasoned. Keeping in mind that we were served chicken breast—a part that’s usually a tad drier than chicken thigh or even drumsticks, we found the meat succulent and soft to the bite.

The QQ noodles were remarkably springy and had a good bite to it. It was complemented by a copious amount of sauce which had distinct notes of herbs, spices and rose wine—a taste unique to this stall.

We’d suggest that you give their dumplings a go as well. Although S$1.20 per piece may seem slightly pricey, the huge pieces of fresh prawns and seasoned pork more justifies the price tag.

A full portion of dumpling noodles will set you back by S$3.80.
