Craze Kitchen – New Halal Café at Tampines Serving Wallet-friendly, Yummy Western Cuisine

We have found an affordable café gem nestled in Tampines’s bustling neighbourhood: Craze Kitchen. Not only do they serve tasty mains and desserts at NETT price, they are also Halal-certified!

From mains such as fish & chips and BBQ chicken, to burgers and pasta, this halal-certified café has something to offer everyone. Price range from S$9 for burger and pasta to S$18 for a Striploin Beef Steak.

We tried one of their best sellers, the Chicken Aglio Olio (S$10). It was served with a huge chicken chop atop a generous portion of linguine. We enjoyed slurping the pasta, which was fragrant from the parsley. The chilli padi also packed a punch, adding on to the tastiness of the noodles.

The chicken chop won us over with its succulent meat. The skin was nicely grilled, with a slight char and crisp. It was fork tender, and oozed juicy goodness. Pair it with the accompanying brown sauce, and you’re good to go — the sweet dressing is a perfect marriage with the savoury meat.

The Craze Double Chicken Cutlet (S$13.50) came with breaded chicken fillets topped with sambal and harissa chilli. The dish also came with fries, though they were a tad bit tasteless.

But of course, the fillets were the star of the show. The meat had a well-balanced batter to meat ratio; it was crispy and had a nice bite to it. But boy, they weren’t kidding about the spice. Though the sambal and chilli numbed our tastebuds, they added piquant flavours to the dish, and was a nice change from the usual brown sauce.

Craze Kitchen has been steadily gaining fanfare, with both café hoppers and families excited to try out this new neighbourhood eatery. The folks here definitely do not compromise quality, so do drop by and give them a try!
