216 Pork Rib Prawn Noodles – Slurp-Worthy Prawn Noodles That’ll Leave You Craving For More
One thing that many Singaporeans can’t resist is a piping hot bowl of glorious prawn noodles. This classic favourite is easily found at hawker centres and food courts all over Singapore, and it is not uncommon to see someone slurping up a bowl of this goodness.
One of our go-to places to get some solid prawn noodles is Blk 216 Bedok Food Centre and Market, where they serve up a satisfying bowl of this classic favourite for incredibly affordable prices.
For just S$3, we got a basic bowl of prawn noodles that was chock full of goodies. There are several noodle options available such as yellow noodles, kway teow, mee pok and mee kia. We decided to opt for a combination of yellow noodles and kway teow, which surprisingly went very well together.
The soup was generously filled with meaty pieces of pork ribs that gave the dish more texture and flavour.
The broth was incredibly robust and flavorful and we could not stop slurping down. It was evident that the soup had been boiled for a very long time to achieve such a rich, umami-filled concoction.
While the prawn noodles isn’t the best that we have ever tasted in Singapore, it is still satisfying and we definitely will eat this when we are in the vicinity.
