New Funan To Reopen With Indoor Cycling, Sports Facilities & Cinema
The old Funan DigitaLife Mall which closed on 30 Jun 2016 will reopen with a brand new look after all the renovation works. Its owner, CapitaLand Mall, has revealed that the new Funan will feature an indoor cycling path, sports facilities and an all-new cinema experience.
Comprising not just six floors of retail space, there will also be two office towers and serviced residences, rounding up to a total area of 887,000 square feet. All these will happen three years later, which is the estimated time needed for construction work to take place.
Golden Village will be bringing in a multi-sensory cinema experience; Kopitiam is introducing a high-tech food court which patrons will see robotic vacuum cleaners and self-ordering kiosks; and Climb Central will be presenting a 50-lane rock climbing wall with the highest wall reaching up to the fourth level!

Other cool stuff you can look forward to will be the futsal court and an open space which can be turned into a basketball court at night with the help of laser projections. You don’t even need to bring your own bicycle to have a go at the indoor cycling lane because there will be bike shops, cafes, lockers and shower rooms.
Of course, Funan being an IT mall will have a floor specifically allotted to feature a vast range of IT products. Besides that, there will also be a platform for local designers to showcase their crafts and conduct workshops.
With all these new changes that aim to reach out to the tech-savvy crowd, shopping at the New Funan is going to be unlike before!
