NIGHT LIGHTS

Kick off the festival with the signature Night Lights, which take place annually. The Night Lights will include majestic installations that will dot the arts & heritage district and turn the facades of buildings in the vicinity into ephemeral works of wonder.

This time, the Singapore Night Festival will be featuring 16 mesmerising light installations by both local and international artists—in celebration of Singapore’s local arts scene, the 11th edition of Singapore Night Festival will showcase 5 local entries alongside international installations in this year’s lineup!

The exhibitions will be sprawled all over the Bras Basah and Bugis precinct, including areas such as Raffles City, CHIJMES and Cathay Green. For more information on the specific location of each nightlight installation, please visit www.nightfestival.sg/nightlights.

PERFORMANCES

From 23 to 25 August 2018, revellers can also look forward to relishing in a dynamic display of 27 performances from genres across the different arts disciplines.

One of the local acts would be a collaboration between local jazz dance troupe EV Dance and local engineering firm Hope Technik, in which art and technology will integrate to present jazz dancers donning and performing with the ‘Audra Exoskeleton’ – a specially designed suit manufactured by Hope Technik to assist workers in lifting heavy weights.

Be sure to also watch the mesmerising roving act, FierS à Cheval or ‘Proud Horses’, a playful dream-like spectacle which features larger-than-life luminous horses strutting, dancing, and leading festival revellers around the precinct.
