Pow Sing Restaurant Set To Open In Jewel Changi Airport!

The hottest news in town right now is the much-awaited opening of Jewel Changi Airport. Slated to open its doors on 17 April 2019, this complex will house some of the world’s biggest f&b brands such as Shake Shack, A&W and critically acclaimed, Burger & Lobster.

Joining the slew of restaurants is famous Pow Sing Restaurant who is best known for their traditional Hainanese Chicken Rice.

We have been patronising Pow Sing Restaurant for years and we will go so far as to say that it is one of the best chicken rice restaurants in Singapore. Sure, they might have run into a little mishap some years back but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re still pretty darn good.

For their Jewel Changi Airport branch, they aim to use a special breed of chicken called, lacto chicken. This particular breed is raised using advanced technology and without the use of antibiotics and growth hormones. They live almost as luxuriously as Wagyu, seeing as to how this unique breed of chickens are allowed to roam freely and made to listen to soothing strains of Mozart to help them grow better!

The result is chicken meat that contains less fat and cholesterol that is packed full of flavour. Does living a comfortable, classical music-fuelled life make a chicken taste better? Guess you’ll just have to find out. Currently, their only outlet is at Serangoon Garden Way and we can’t wait for them to open at Jewel Changi Airport!
