East Coast Park’s Marine Cove To Reopen To Public
Good news to East-side dwellers! Marina Cove at Marina East Coast Park is said to reopen to public at the end of this month after a three-year long renovation. The recreational enclave will feature a great variety of dining and entertainment options that are both handicap-friendly and kids-friendly.
From an increased number of parking lots to a new 3,500-square-metre wide children’s playground, here is what you can expect from National Parks Board’s latest exciting lifestyle development.
Marina Cove’s food and beverage stores will be opening their doors from Tuesday, June 28 onwards. The shops are namely Babalicious, Hill Street Coffee Shop, McDonald’s, My Briyani House and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
According to National Parks Board, the huge playground will be made available to public with effect from Wednesday, 29 June 2016. Spanning across 3,500 square metres, the kid’s playground is specially designed to accommodate children of different ages. There are slides of varying heights, a three-storey play tower and even a rope bridge! Yes, Marina Cove will certainly be a hot spot amongst families!
“With the redevelopment, more open spaces have been freed up at Marine Cove and park users will have a clear view of the sea,” said Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.
Many amenities have been installed to ease facilitation. For instance, the number of parking lots has increased to accommodate more visitors, a standalone public toilet – featuring shower facilities for kids – have been constructed and the pedestrian walkways are designed to be wheelchair-friendly.
