Here’s Where To Get Chicken & Waffles at Only S$4.50

A Chicken & Waffles dish will typically set you back by around S$15 to S$20 in Singapore.

But what if we told you there is somewhere that serves up a huge and tasty portion for a mere S$4.50? And no, it does not taste bad. Want to know where to find this amazing dish? Read on.

Truly Test Kitchen is a multi-concept coffee shop called Truly Test Kitchen where you are in for some cheap and good eats. It resides on level 7 of Jun Jie Industrial Building, and is split up into 5 different sections – Truly Curry Rice, Mian (Noodles), Handmade Meatball Porridge, Truly Western and the drinks stall.

Housed deep inside an industrial area, it is not the most convenient place to go to for a meal. When we took our first bite of the dishes we ordered, we finally understood why people go all the way there for a meal.

Honestly, where else will you be able to get a serving of Chicken & Waffles for S$4.50? The batter of the waffle was fluffy and crisp; just the way we like our waffles to be. The fried chicken itself was well-seasoned but slightly dry. However, for S$4.50, we are certainly not complaining, especially since it also comes with a side of fries and maple syrup.

Besides that, we also ordered the pork chop with Hainanese-style curry (S$1.50) but it was a tad disappointing.

We shall try the Curry Chicken Pasta (S$3.50) and Handmade Meatball Porridge (S$3) next!
