2mm Talent Hub – S$6.90 Affordable Lunch at School of The Arts Singapore
Brought to you by the folks at mm2 Entertainment, 2mm Talent Hub is the latest addition to the string of dining establishments at Level 1 of the School of the Arts Singapore. Apart from being a comforting and warm place to chill at with your friends after a busy day of school or work, 2mm Talent Hub also serves up affordable yet honest Western and Asian lunch eats at student-friendly prices.
Also, if you plan on dropping by during dinner, there will be live band performances from Wednesday through Saturday from 7.30pm to 11pm for your dining pleasure. Will 2mm Talent Hub be your newest hideout in Central Singapore?
What sets 2mm Talent Hub apart from other regular cafes is that its interior reminded us of an intimate music recording studio. With lush sofas and chill-out spots at every area of this establishment, we could certainly imagine that it would be an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy quality music from local talents.
And what better way to accompany the live entertainment than by digging into some good and hearty food? Being avid fans of Japanese cuisine, we decided to order the Yakitori Rice Bowl (S$7.90++) which came with 4 chicken skewers, mixed vegetables, a helping katsuobushi i.e. dried bonito flakes and rice.
Our verdict? At S$7.90++, the Yakitori Rice Bowl was a value-for-money meal. Albeit not the tastiest yakitori or rice bowl we’ve tried, the dish was nonetheless decent and filling.
We also went with the Local Laksa (S$6.90++) because how could we say no to this popular hawker eat? Served piping hot and in generous portions, the Local Laksa would be a cheap and good lunch option to have.
That being said, we would have preferred if the broth was thicker and richer as the broth of the Local Laksa we had was thin and slightly diluted.
Some other lunch items you can order include the Wanton Mee (S$6.90++), Fish & Chip (S$7.90++) and Quarter Roasted Chicken (S$8.90++).
You can also complete your meal with a soft drink for a top-up of S$1.50 and coffee or tea for S$2.
With lunch options starting from S$6.90++ coupled with a warm dining ambience, 2mm Talent Hub would be a tasty yet cheap lunch option for students and the working crowd alike.
