Located at the new Pasir Ris Central Hawker Centre, Ju Ju Pokebowls is a must-visit when you are there. As the Summer season is approaching, this healthy rice bowl is your go-to summer food.
As much as we love to indulge in our favourite char kway teow and fried chicken, we would need to take a break and munch on healthier food options to keep our daily health in check.
With a range of salads and poke bowls to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice. There are even pizzas on their menu, yes, you heard it, PIZZAS! If you want a slightly less healthy option, pizzas are your alternative. Is Ju Ju Pokebowls just like any ordinary poke bowl or will it blow your mind? It is up to you to find out!
The Hawaiian Smoked Salmon Poke Bowl (S$6.90) makes a satisfying light meal, perfect for a simple lunch or dinner. The clean-cut salmon is fresh and succulent, with a generous amount to keep you full. It pairs well with the steamed rice, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, pickles and canned pineapples. You can choose to opt for the brown rice alternative for a more wholesome meal!
Just look at the bowl, the colours are so vibrant, it definitely opens up our appetite!
We also tried the Hawaiian Dark Soy Chicken Poke Bowl (S$5.90). As far as marinated chicken goes, it was definitely not bland, but that being said, it is probably not something we would make a deliberate return trip for. The rice was subpar and lacked depth and the chicken, although tender, could definitely have been more flavourful.
With these yummy poke bowls being served up at Pasir Ris Central Hawker Centre, Ju Ju Pokebowls should definitely be on your list of healthy food choices! If you’re one of those who is constantly procrastinating about losing weight, Ju Ju Pokebowls is the first stepping stone you should take.
