The long-awaited i Light Marina Bay is finally back!

Returning this March, watch Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay illuminate the night sky with 22 Instagram-worthy sustainable light art installations from Singapore and around the world, lining the waterfront precinct.

Beyond the enthralling showcase of interactive visual art, the light art festival will also feature a spectacular line-up of activities and programs. Featuring an Art-Zoo inflatable park, exciting music performances, Prudential Marina Bay Carnival, outdoor dining options and a pop-up bar, you can expect an eventful night filled with merriment.

The best part? i Light Marina Bay will be available from 9 Mar 2018 to 1 Apr 2018 and admission is free. With the sixth edition of Asia’s leading sustainable light art festival just around the corner, you would not want to miss out on the dazzling fun.

i Light Art Installations

#1 LOTS OF COOL INTERACTIVE ART INSTALLATIONS

This year, you can look forward to a showcase of a whopping 22 light art installations from 14 countries and of 9 are from Singapore.

Designed with energy-saving lighting, recycled or environmentally-friendly materials, the light art installations reinforce Marina Bay’s position as a sustainable precinct and serve as a reminder to encourage festival goers to adopt sustainable habits.

i Light Milk Bottle Cows

Milk Bottle Cows by Singapore-based artist BP Loh showcases life-sized “cows” created with approximately 2000 plastic milk bottles collected from various cafes across Singapore.

i Light Urban Rice Fields

Designed by Raffles College of Higher Education, the Urban Rice Fields features a pathway where audience can travel through a rice fields made with interactive light installations, immersing themselves in the curvy disposition of bamboo rods.

i Light Kloud

Kloud is an interactive light installation that connects people with the colours of their ever-changing emotions. With every physical touch, Kloud alters the colours on its multiple surfaces. How cool is that?

i Light Art-Zoo

#2 BOUNCE AWAY IN THE INFLATABLE PLAYGROUND

Art-Zoo Inflatable Park @ I Light Marina Bay 2018, the largest experiential inflatable playground returns to the heart of Singapore’s city centre. Introducing a brand new line-up of larger-than-life inflatable characters to welcome visitors of all ages, Art-Zoo will take you on a colourful and magical journey like never before. Each standard ticket will cost S$18 and children under 24 months are complimentary with one full paying ticket.

Prudential Marina Bay Carnival

#3 BE WHISKED-OFF ON AN ADRENALINE-PUMPING ADVENTURE

A stone’s throw away from i Light Marina Bay, drop by Prudential Marina Bay Carnival for a fun-filled night. There is something for everyone in this treasure trove of over 40 attractions! Expect live music performances, magic shows to outdoor fitness sessions and Instagrammable photo spots.

i Light Gastrobeats

#4 EAT, SING AND PLAY AT GASTROBEATS

Urban lifestyle park Gastrobeats returns for its second edition. Offering a wide range of delectable food options and music performances, a new series of content for Play is delivered with the collaboration with ILLUMI Run, unique game experiences and Gastrobeats’ signature neon installations.

#5 GRAB A DRINK AND CHILL OUT BY THE WATERFRONT

Held at the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza, ILLUMI Bar is a LED-lit pop-up lifestyle space making its debut at i Light. With its furniture made with reusable plastic water tanks, friends and family can gather at this illuminated lounge for drinks and food, revel in music performances or bask in serenity and watch Spectra, Marina Bay Sands’ free-to-public outdoor water and light show.
